Mission

People For Animals- Bangalore's mission is " Environmental protection and the rescue of urban wildlife as the basis for sustainable development."

In achieving its Mission, People For Animals- Bangalore uses the following main activities and programme methods:

• Rescue and rehabilitation of injured urban wildlife at the Save Our Wildlife (SoWL) Nature Center.
• Eventual re-introduction into habitat on individual assessment.
• Public policy debates through independent research, consultation and administrators
• Education activities for key target groups including youth, professionals and administrators
• Mobilizing the necessary financial, scientific and technical resources.

PFA- Bangalore is best known for the work it does to rescue and rehabilitate injured urban wildlife. But it does much more. It helps create awareness for the need of an ecological balance and preservation of the flora and fauna. It also works towards curbing of the slaughter of domestic and wild animals. It rescues and relocates snakes that stray out of their diminishing habitats; a consequence of rapid urbanisation. In addition, People For Animals- Bangalore assists law enforcement agencies in monitoring the illegal trade of protected species.
